BIG 10 HUNTING CLUB RULES

RULE #1:

Dues will cover the time period beginning June 1stthrough May 31st.(the following year) Half of the dues will be paid by April 15th. The remainder will be paid by August 1st; no exceptions. All dues are non-refundable.

RULE #2:

The GroupMe app is officially our main mode of communication. Make sure you have the app downloaded on your phone and you have the BIG 10 thread. If you need help, contact Wendy Dobson at 470-302-5654.

 RULE #3:

There will be multiple work days scheduled each year, based on club and camp needs. It is the general expectation that each member attend at least half of all the work days. 

 RULE #4:

No chambered weapons allowed in camp. All weapons must be unloaded while in camp. It is ok to have a weapon with rounds in the magazine, just not chambered. Muzzle Loaders need to have primers removed. Exception to this rule is when using the Camp Shooting Range.(it is expected that your weapon is not ‘hot’ until you are setup at the range. At this point, range rules apply)

 RULE #5:

All members must follow all DNR Rules and Regulations.

 RULE #6:

All members must follow the Meriwether County QDM rules; however, we as members need to manage our deer population. It is generally expected that your next buck is bigger than your last.

 RULE #7:

The shooting range is considered closed during hunting season. In the event you need special circumstances or an exception to this rule,(i.e.-weapons malfunction, scope re-alignment, etc.) all members must be notified as soon as possible on the GroupMe text thread.(Range Rules apply at this time)

RULE #8:

During hunting season, it is generally expected that all members are respectful of the woods, particularly while others are hunting. When accessing the property during hunting season for tasks other than hunting, please consider others and wait until their hunt is complete.(you can use the GroupMe app to help ensure there are no other hunters still hunting)

RULE #9:

All members will be responsible for their own trash, keeping your personal area clean and trash taken home upon your departure. This will help keep varmints/pests out of camp. This includes cleaning up aluminum cans and placing them in the provided container each night. There will be a team effort to clean dishes in the cook shed after meals. 

RULE #10:

When using the Shooting Range, you must ensure no one is ‘down range’ and that all members in camp are aware of your plans.(GroupMe app should be utilized if not otherwise notified in-person) It is expected that muzzle discipline and safety practices are adhered.

 RULE #11:

Most importantly, let's continue having a great time and bringing our families together for fellowship and lifelong friendship.
